Man Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound At Norwalk Shooting Range

A man has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Fairfield County shooting range.

The incident took place around 12:20 p.m., Thursday, June 11, at the Fairfield County Firearms & Archery, at 4 New Canaan Ave., in Norwalk, police said,

Police said they are "investigating what appears to be an intentional self-inflicted gunshot wound."

The individual has not been identified.

The incident is contained, and there is no public threat, police said.

The shooting was the second in Norwalk on Thursday. Earlier, one person was wounded at the Roodner Court housing complex on Ely Avenue.

The shooting reportedly led to a police pursuit to Bridgeport, where a suspect was arrested.
